Kelly Framel of

I absolutely love the home of Kelly Framel, stylist and editor of Featured in
The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus, this fabulous interior is charming, girly and fashionable. It really shows her fashion sense and how that can translate into your interior. I really believe your interior should be a reflection of your overall style. There is no question this home belongs to one of the '10 Most Stylish New Yorkers'. Bravo!

Thrift Store Find + Book Shelf Styling

I scored this lovely curio at a thrift store last week for 80 dollars! This is one of my better finds this year so far. I couldn't believe the price! I love scouring thrift stores and flea markets because you tend to find unique items and real gems like this one.

I haven't quite decided what to do with it yet. I was leaning towards painting it white with a vibrant interior color but the wood is in perfect condition. I almost feel guilty covering it with paint. What I can decide on now is styling the shelves. Since it will remain without paint for a while, I'm thinking white accessories will really pop against the wood.

Check out these lovely accessories I've found so far.

#Pinterest Pic of the Day

I am not this brave when it comes to color but oh I wish I were. I generally gravitate to white rooms or  neutral palettes with pops of color throughout but this space is really exciting to me. Somehow
with all of the colors, patterns and textures, it's not too much. They've found a balance that allows everything to work together without it being overbearing. I definitely could wake up in this
bedroom everyday. Couldn't you?

Weekend Checklist

This is my first weekend in a while where I have absolutely nothing planned. I can't even contain my excitement! This weekend is all about me. I plan to do a few things I've had on
my wish list for way too long.

1. Shopping // Blue Print has been on my list to visit for a while now. This Saturday I plan to make it happen. I've driven by this store many times and it has such a lovely exterior. I'm sure the interior will be just as devine.

2. Reading // Within a few days, two friends mentioned they were reading and enjoying, The Richest Man Who Ever Lived: King Solomon's Secrets to Success, Wealth, and Happiness. I took that as a sign, so I ordered a copy and plan to start reading this weekend. I'm not much of a self help book reader but I've heard such great things about this book.

3. Cooking // My Friday evening ritual is to cook a good dinner and have a nice glass of wine. It's my time to relax and unwind from the busy week. I received this yummy cookbook, Eat With Your Hands for Christmas and I'm finally going to use it. I'm going to pick a dish and prepare it. For me this will be a task because I am not a cookbook person. I NEVER follow recipes. I'm a throw things together in a skillet that I think will taste good kind of girl...but I'm really excited to try something new.

Please share. What plans do you have for the upcoming weekend? I hope you enjoy every second of it!

Photography: Gourmet Chocolates

I've really been working on improving my photography skills. I've had my camera for a year but only got the courage to use it last Fall. I know, it's silly but the millions of buttons and settings on the camera terrified me. Well this January, as I prepared my resolutions, learning my camera was high on the list. I've made so much progress in a few months. One day, after some much needed lessons, I woke up and it clicked. ISO, aperture and shutter speed finally made sense. So I've been practicing none stop ever since.

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to shoot some products for  Chickies Chocolates. The owner, Tracey is an amazing Chocolatier that's launching her own business. The shoot was so much fun and I learned even more about my camera and lighting. Please let me know what you think!

There's still much more to learn but now the fear is gone and I'm really starting to enjoy this!

Valentine's Day Tablescapes

I love any excuse to decorate, especially holidays. Here's some Valentine's Day inspiration for dressing up your table for that special dinner date. #2 is my favorite. I love the idea of using a color other than pink or red. The personal note is a nice touch too!

Prabal Gurung For Target

Sunday is the big day! On February 10th, one of the most anticipated (and largest) collaborations will finally be here. Prabal Gurung will take Target stores by storm. The 80+ piece collection of ready-to-wear clothing and accessories is inspired by a girl's journey through the different stages of love.
I must have something. =)

So are you going to brave the crowds or shop online? I can't decide which would be best.

Monday Shopping + Etsy

I've been slacking when it comes to decorating a certain area in my teeny, weeny library. It's really sad because I have my grandmother's chair sitting in this area and it really deserves to shine. Now it's time to get back in the saddle and finish this project.

For those who don't know, I'm addicted to Pinterest. You can find the most inspirational photos and ideas. Like the one below. This lovely, cosmopolitan interior is so elegant and sassy. I adore it.
Plus it reminds me of my grandmother's style. She was one sassy, fashionable lady! =)

Unfortunately I couldn't locate the source to share more photos with you but I'll keep searching. What I love most about this pad are the framed fashion illustrations. Such a unique piece of art. Eureka!
Framed fashion illustrations would be perfect for my library and a wonderful accent to my chair.
So next I headed over to Etsy for a little shopping...

I discovered this amazing artist, Jessica Durrant. She's a a full time freelance illustrator and art instructor and creates the most beautiful fashion illustrations in watercolor. Don't you just love the pops of color? I'm looking forward to having a few of her pieces for my home. Love, love love!

Friday Inspiration: Soledad Suarez

TGIF!! I don't know about you but for me it's been a busy week! I can't believe today is February 1st. January was a complete blur. How are those resolutions going? LOL Don't worry, today we can start anew and take the weekend to refresh. I'm always drained by the end of the month so I'm going to take the weekend to rest and get reenergized.
